From cover sketches to 3D Magazines and poetry sculptures….

…..check out this amazing and awe inspiring works of art! The things people come up with – if the internet is good for anything other than Facebook stalking, porn and google mapping, it really does wonders showcasing the myriad of talents out there.

“This is an attempt to recreate cover art for every great magazine and record I own. And with each Cover I take a perfect mass-produced object and turn it into a fucked up one-off, full of my thoughts and feelings.” – John Paul Thurlow

And here we have Daft Punk’s shoot for Dazed & Confused for their new soundtrack album “Tron Legacy”. 3D photography at its best! It’s a special edition for December 2010. What a great way to wrap up the year.

“The December edition of Dazed celebrates radical visions for the future, with a world exclusive feature with Daft Punk in LA as they unveil their soundtrack for 3D sci-fi blockbuster TRON: Legacy. The issue of the magazine comes with specially inserted glasses to see the spectacular 3D shoot by photographer Sharif Hamza, styled by senior menswear editor Robbie Spencer.”

Three of codes by Jonathan Safran Foer – a book adorned with movable words to help create your own poetry, giving the reader a new heightened experience. It’s like fridge magnets in a book – fascinating! Can you imagine the effort and detail in making this book? Available now at Visual Editions, one of my favorite online book stores!

“Jonathan Safran Foer, deftly deploys sculptural means to craft a truly compelling story. In our world of screens, he welds narrative, materiality, and our reading experience into a book that remembers that it actually has a body.”
–Olafur Eliasson

To wrap this post up, here’s a video of people’s reaction to the book. Dear Santa, you get the idea.
