Being an Apple enthusiast with an unhealthy dose of cult-like , apple-popping obsession…

This, really f***ing hurts!

First, a little about the collaboration between Michael Tompert and Paul Fairchild. Did some research on photographer Paul Fairchild and this is all I managed to gather:

Paul Fairchild Photography is a private company categorized under Photographers-Video and located in Menlo Park, CA. Current estimates show this company has an annual revenue of 85,000 and employs a staff of approximately 2.

As for Michael Tompart, here’s what I extracted from Fastcodesign.com

Digital artist Michael Tompert turns our favorite Apple fetish-objects into smashed up sculptures. Calling Apple products “works of art” is a design cliche. So artist Michael Tompert decided to take it to the next level, turning various iThings into a kind of sculpture — by shooting them, smashing them, and burning them.

I cringed, cried and crawled myself back to bed and cradled my bolster like a violated damsel in distress. Okay so I exaggerated a little but seriously, weird things have been done in the name of art, people stick rods through their backs, shit in public places and paint with piss but this, this is vile! There’s even a photo titled “Breathe,” that shows a 2008 MacBook Air shot with a 9mm Heckler & Koch handgun. Those Mac products didn’t do anything to deserve the artistic savagery. All I can say is, OUCH!

Got thought?
